Each school in the Chicago Middle School Debate League is required — and this is a strict requirement — to submit a student roster twice per year: once in the fall, by 10/14 (prior to MS T1); and once in the spring, by 3/2/12 (prior to MS T5). The two rosters you submit may be the same, though they are often different.
The Student Roster is not the same thing as tournament registration. You can’t register anyone for a tournament that isn’t on the Student Roster, but your Student Roster will often have more students on it than are registered for any one tournament, and possibly even than register for any tournament all year long (if they are on your debate team but don’t compete).
