Two Training Seminars Being Offered This Week

We want to be sure all coaches in the CDL and CMSDL are aware of two training seminars being offered this week.

(i)

Judge Training Workshop

Date: Wednesday, 9/21

Times: 5:30pm – 7:30pm

Location: Loyola University Chicago School of Law, 25 E. Pearson St., Room 711

Registration not required. Provides CDL Professional Development credit for coaches (HS or MS) who attend (but no CPDUs). Satisfies training requirement for all new judges who have never debated or coached before.

Introduction to Debate Coaching

Date: Thursday, 9/22

Times: 5:00pm – 8:00pm

Location: Chicago Debate Commission, 332 S. Michigan Ave., Suite 500

Registration is required (send a note to info@resources.chicagodebates.org by Wednesday, 9/21, at 12pm). Provides CDL PD credit and CPDUs. Strongly recommended for all new coaches (HS or MS) who have not yet taken an introductory course or seminar, and useful for all new and fairly new coaches who would like a refresher.
