Selected Incentives Update Post-T4
We recently announced the current slate of second-semester CDL coach incentives. Following Tournament Four, here is an update on two of the Allstate incentives offerings.
(i) Allstate Incentives for Increasing Debate Participation
For the second semester, these are given to schools for increasing their total debate tournament participation this season over last season’s total (T1-T6), $100 for every 12 more tournament debaters this season over last season.
Even after Tournament Four, we have schools that have earned these Allstate incentives — and of course are poised to continue to earn more at T5 and T6 as they rack up tournament debaters over their totals last season. Here are the incentives we’re issuing after T4.
Austin — $150
Ellison — $50
Harlan — $50
Juarez — $50
Julian — $200
King — $250
North Lawndale — $50
Perspectives Joslin — $100
Perspectives Tech — $50
Power House — $150
VOISE — $150
Von Steuben — $150
Williams — $100
The full reporting on where each school is positioned after T4 relative to these incentives is in the Allstate Incentives for Increasing Debate Participation Tracking Form.
(ii) Allstate Expanding Opportunities Incentives
The Allstate Expanding Opportunities Initiative schools (those CDL schools with a 90% or higher Title I percentage) can earn incentives this semester in two categories.
(a) Participation Numbers Overall
The top five schools through T6 will earn $500 in incentives, 6th – 10th place schools will earn $250.
After T4 here are our leaders.
(b) Participation Change in the Second Semester
This metric compares the average level of debater participation at tournaments 4 – 6 this season to the average level of debater participation at tournaments 1 -3 this season — so a kind of “top-improving schools this season” measurement.
The top five schools on this metric through T6 earn $500 in coach incentives.
After T4 here are our leaders.
The full reporting on where each Expanding Opportunities school is positioned after T4 relative to these incentives is in the Allstate Expanding Opportunities Tracking Form.
