No New Evidence in the CMSDL Novice Division

We got a question from a CMSDL school as to whether the CMSDL Argument Limits could be expanded to allow Novice teams to research and incorporate new evidence into the Core Files, making the same or similar arguments but with updated or improved evidence.

The CMSDL Coaches Council considered the issue but came to the conclusion that the Novice division should be limited to the Core Files in their published form, without additions or changes. Debaters interested in doing research and changing the Core Files should debate in the JV or Varsity divisions, the Council concluded.

So the CMSDL Argument Limits are unchanged.
