The Chicago Debate Commission Is Hiring
The Chicago Debate Commission seeks to hire a new programming staff person — preferably full-time, though we will consider a highly-qualified person who can only work for us part-time. The position is for seven months; there is a possibility that the position will then be extended, contingent on funding and staffing needs.
The position title is Programming Project Associate. This staff person will work on program building with CDL schools, alumni outreach and cultivation, and a wide range of programming support functions. Experience with Urban Debate Leagues and/or National Circuit debate is a strong plus. Salary commensurate with experience, though likely at about $40,000 per year (as a full-time position, $20 – $24 per hour as a part-time position), on an annualized basis, without additional benefits.
Interested persons should review the full job description, and should send a cover letter and resumé to Les Lynn, Director of Programming, leslynn@resources.chicagodebates.org.
The CDC has near-immediate needs for additional staffing, so intends to hire expediently when it has identified the right candidate.
