CDL Coach Training Seminar VII — Saturday, 1/11, 9:00am – 12:00pm

The Chicago Debate League has its seventh coach training seminar of seven now scheduled for the 2013/14 season — Coach Training Seminar VII — this Saturday, 1/11, 9:00am – 12:00pm, at the Loyola Law School, 25 E. Pearson St. Room 325

This seminar will focus on preparing teams for T4. This will include a focus on the new Core File Supplemental Argument: The Coloniality Kritik, strategies for debating framework, and debating topicality. Attendees will get lesson plans and arguments their teams can use at T4.

Parking at lots near the Loyola Law School is $10, with validation from the lobby of the law school building (the Philip H. Corboy Center, 25 E. Pearson St.). The Loyola Law School is also right off of the Chicago stop on the CTA red line.

Registration is required. Register by Friday, 1/10 by sending an email to register@resources.chicagodebates.org.

Attendees will earn three hours of professional development credit within the CDL system, and three hours of CPDUs.

(24) Kritiks: structure and utility

Advanced Topicality Debating
(49) Effective, specifically applied, clearly articulated debating about standards for interpreting the meaning of the word or words at issue in the topicality violation, and compelling argumentation for (or against) topicality being a voting issue
